[Interview] Learn about the real lifestyles of migrants. I came to Oguni Township from Fukuoka and interviewed Minako Yamamoto for the fourth year.

■ To Minako's home!

-To know your lifestyle, go to your home ...
Hmm? Steaming through the entrance ...! ? I've never seen such a sight ... truly a hot spring area!

-And a steaming place that can be reached in just 5 steps from the kitchen? ! This is full of things to see for the first time ...

That's right (laughs) Even if you live in a hot spring area, I don't think there is a property like this. When I arrived, I really wanted to live in Canedate, so I was forced to search for properties in this area. Then there is only one empty house!

When I was asked, I saw this steaming place before I entered the house. The moment I saw this, I said, "I will sign a contract! I will write a contract immediately!"

● What is a steaming place...
A kitchen where steam, eggs, potatoes, vegetables, etc. can be steamed with hot steam rising from a hot spring.

― The great thing about Minako's house wasn't just steaming. It was here that I was most shocked ...!

-There is nothing in front of you. This scenery full of openness is the best!

The scenery from here changes little by little as the seasons change. I'm very happy to be able to see such valuable scenery every day.

-Sure, the scenery that seems to be spreading isn't it? If you can drink while looking at such a scenery, it will be irresistible.

By the way, since I moved to Canedate, I think that many workshops and events related to "food" have been organized. I heard that your previous job was not particularly food-related, but were you originally interested in food?

Certainly, your previous job had nothing to do with it. Rather than being interested in food, in the first half of the company era in Fukuoka, in the morning you can eat sweets at a convenience store, in the daytime you can do it with a beef bowl or family restaurant at a chain store, and at night you can have a hot pot with a company person. It was a feeling. (Lol)

-If you're busy as an office worker, you tend to feel like "I wish I could eat cheaper quickly." But why are you interested in “food”?

One day, when I sneakly ate what was in the freezer at my friend's house (laughs), my whole body became urticaria and my face became cramped. For the first time I was born there“What you put in your mouth makes your body”I realized that was natural.
From there, I started to play in the city on weekends and turned to the suburbs, how to make vegetables and how to make rice. In order to know that, I started going to vegetables making experience.

-That was the kick.

Now I think food was involved, but maybe it was stressful. I thought it was comfortable in my life. But I guess the speed of the city didn't suit me. I think that the stress that I didn't even notice was accumulated and the body had an unusual reaction.

- It's was so. It may be that SOS was released from the body, despite the stress accumulated without realizing it. I think there was a lot of opportunity and I was interested in "food", but this is the decisive departure for food! Did you have any?

There is! that is"Bonito"is. I always went out and could hardly cook, so I went to study. So, first of all, if you want to learn Japanese food, which is said to be good for your health, you definitely write "XNUMX cups of broth" in the recipe.

I thought that "dashi" was "breaking the white bag and putting granules." Because my parents did that too.
However, apparently it wasn't the case ... I started to understand that somebody could teach me how to take the dashi so I felt sorry and took part in the dashi soup course. Only when it was born“Dashi stock with freshly cut bonito and kelp”It was an experience. When I drank the undiluted "dashi", the cells in my body were moved to rejoice.

-From there, you got hooked on "Katsuobushi".

At a certain soup stocking classroom, we received a mini-bonito cutlery from a landlady who was still taking care of the bonito sushi shop Matoba Suisan. It was so cute that when I drank it at a izakaya, I took a bonito shaver from my bag and sharpened it (laughs). It's also a big climax! From the experience that was more pleasing than I had imagined, the "Kura", which carries bonito anywhere, anytime, was born.
After that, I want to let the children experience it, so I want to do it at a nursery school! And began to give voices from their mothers, and began to experience bonito cutting.

- Interesting! The aim is to aim for uke, but it will be at a level where you will do a full-fledged experience training yourself. I don't really know what makes life so exciting.
