A unique space where the scenery of Satoyama and beautiful architecture are harmonious.It is made like a Noh stage.
Between the planks of the special seats, polished Oguni cedar logs, which require skill to cut from the mountains, are placed, supported by chestnut beams.
These timbers are said to have been cut from the mountains that the owner and his wife have inherited for generations.From between these boards, you can see the calm scenery of the farming village.
The roof is a traditional Japanese shingle roof, which is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and uses 6 pieces of Oguni cedar bark.The bark is layered in layers, and it is made to give you a sense of nostalgia even in its solemnity.
One of the themes of Cafe Take no Kuma is “water”.It is said that the entire building expresses the image of the circulation of water that supports life in Satoyama.
When you enter the site, the first thing that catches your eye is the large pond.The water from the well flowing through Satoyama flows into the garden and is constantly circulating.
When I visited for the interview, Japanese flags were blooming on the waterside.Cherry blossoms in spring, autumn leaves in autumn, and flowers of the four seasons are said to please us.
In this way, traditional techniques are used everywhere, but the cafe space is a modern space.
No electrical equipment is intentionally installed, and by incorporating plenty of natural light, you can see various expressions depending on the season and time.In other words, it is a once-in-a-lifetime space art.
